I've been sitting with this question for the past few weeks.

I think we often treat dreams as something we ask God to bless us with. But what if we've got it the other way around? What if dreaming with God begins with surrender, not strategy. With listening, not striving. With being faithful where we are, before worrying about where we're going.

The older I get, the more I realize that God isn't only interested in the destination of our dreams. He's just as interested in who we're becoming as we pursue them. Maybe the most beautiful dreams aren't the ones that make our names known. They are the ones that quietly reflect His.

I thought God was asking me to build an art business all these years. But I think what He was teaching me is to reflect His light. There are places so dark that only His light can reach. If my words and illustrations can carry a glimpse of that light into someone's life, then this dream has always been about something much bigger than my own.

And maybe that's the kind of dream worth pursuing.
