As a self-taught artist, Quan Mei explores and dabbles in different art and design styles as she finds joy in expressing herself in each of them. Every piece of work is a testimony of her growth over the years.

BOTANICAL ILLUSTRATIONS

Quan Mei's style of botanical illustrations are intricate and artistic, suitable for all types of art, lifestyle and fashion products.

WATERCOLOUR FLORALS

Quan Mei's fascination for flowers extends beyond her monochrome botanical illustrations. She often explores the vivid colours of flowers on paper and even fabric.

WOODEN SIGNAGES

Each wooden signage is hand-painted and handwritten by Quan Mei onto the wooden signage itself to retain the intricate and handcrafted look. They can be used for weddings, given as gifts, and used for home decor; making each life occasion meaningful and unique.

PERFUME BOTTLE PAINTING

Quan Mei is always on a look out for new canvases to explore art on. Vanda Miss Joaquim and Phalaenopsis Orchids are painted on Scentopia Sentosa's perfume bottles as their fragrance oils are orchid-focused.

DIGITAL ILLUSTRATIONS

In addition to the digital illustrations for her stationery merchandise line, Quan Mei also takes on commission projects for individuals, brands, and organisations.

MODERN CALLIGRAPHY

As a self-taught calligrapher, Quan Mei specialises in modern-style calligraphy, which encompasses a unique flow and bounce to her letterings, making them look artistic yet readable on different mediums like canvas, wood, paper, acrylic etc.

CHINESE CALLIGRAPHY

Art Exhibition @ Curbside Crafters

"A Peculiar Bond" | 21-23 June 2022

In June 2022, Quan Mei exhibited her original botanical illustrations and art pieces alongside many other local budding artists and makers. Her artworks for the exhibition highlighted three messages that struck a chord with her:

POP-UP MARKETS

Quan Mei frequents seasonal art markets to connect with her community. Till date, she has participated in multiple markets, some of which are reputable locations like Esplanade, Gardens By The Bay, and the National Gallery.

She also makes the effort to reach out to schools and hospitals like NAFA and Ng Teng Fong General Hospital.
